Isnt that music centre so cool. When I was a kiddie bopper my folks got me an Amstrad all in one – twin tapes and a turntable on a motor that ejected to put on the vinyl. Of course being an Amstrad the tapes stopped working and the belt drive on the ejector broke down requiring ‘manual intervention’. Ah the days of creating a mix from the top 40 radio!

I agree completely. No to mention the negative effects fluorescent light has on beer! I wouldn’t worry too much though. I’m sure that light bulb factory will spring up in China someplace!

Yeah, this stuff sucks. As a person who has to deal with this as well in a corporate environment – the mantra is ‘don’t open ANY email unless you are specifically expecting it.’ Easier said than done!

Anyway, I’ve found one of the better programs for this to be malwarebytes. Run it in safe mode if need be, but its pretty good at removing this ransomware. (Don’t ask how I know!) Also, good backups are a must!

To be brutally honest, @nate isn’t their core market… they don’t export much and have an IPA in at least one major UK supermarket chain, so any raised brand awareness should help them.

I think Joe Public will be saying “Brewdog? I’ve heard of them…” rather than “They’re the guys that stuffed an uber beer up a squirrel’s…”

And so, when the dust has settled, I think they’ll probably gain in the long run.

Ultimately, of course, the brand could be bought by a major brewer like Greene King as their ‘radical’ brand.

Interesting to see if all the hype is going to hurt them or not. I hear a lot of people, like Nate, saying that their recent antics have turned them off as customers. Its impressive what they’ve done to get awareness for their brand, but are they alienating their core?

That’s funny Bob! Yeah, too far for me too. Shock value marketing very, very rarely appeals to me, and actually turns me off to an entire product line.
