For such a wonderful location we might have expected to have been ripped off, but we were pleasantly surprised.
There are a number of ‘English’ pubs in central Abu Dhabi, Porters is a good one, and one I’d happily visit again.
If ‘The Scene’ was local to me I would be a regular.
On a recent trip to Abu Dhabi, we took the bus to Dubai to investigate the 'New' Hard Rock Cafe. I'm still counting this as my thirty fifth Hard Rock Café.
I’m not sure when I’ll be returning to Abu Dhabi, but after this stay, for the price and location, there’s nowhere I would rather stay.
All in all, a slightly above average experience - the mains were definitely the stars of the show.
The Prosecco kept on coming, and we all agreed it had been a splendid lunch and, in a restaurant that serves £100 meat tasting platters, astonishingly good value.
it’s an assault on all the senses, sights, sounds, smells, flavours
I quietly cursed myself for not trying Baga Deck earlier in my trip. I had assumed it was a tourist trap, but actually it was a revelation, excellent food at a good price.
I found myself at the Royal Enfield Café, Baga - the local equivalent of London’s Ace Café.
