The final bill was just short of 1,000 Rupees, about a tenner which seems to be the going rate for restaurants in the area, but for a meal in such a venerable institution, that has to be good value.
While the décor might be a tad fussy, the breakfast puts Truleigh Scrumptious firmly on my personal ‘good breakfast’ list.

All in all, an excellent meal, with attentive staff, we all agreed we’d be happy to return, probably when my friends get another interesting offer, so clearly the offers work!
I’d be happy to stay at this hotel again in the future, but for the TV problems, this would be a glowing five star review.
The Barrel sits atop the escarpment, high above Edale (‘the plague village’) and Foolow. The views are, quite frankly, stunning, it’s easy to imagine you’re on top of the world.
All in all a pretty good way to spend a Sunday lunchtime, and at about fifty quid including a couple of beers, not bad value.
Were I now a Sheffield resident, Brewdog would be top of my list.
I'll be happy to go back, but next time it'll be just for the beers.
