In January 2005 we made our first journey to Sharm El Sheik, just chilling.

We stayed at the rather splendid Ritz Carlton hotel and had such a relaxing time we went back in the October of the same year.

The hotel had a wonderful free format pool, overlooking the rather rocky beach.

‘Old’ Sharm – built 1973!

And up the hill from the Ritz Carlton was a purpose built ‘Fantasia’ leisure complex with shops and bars that were considerably cheaper (£1 per beer) than the Ritz Carlton (£5 a beer plus service, plus tax).
